June 12, 2001 (Madison, Wisconsin) Affordable Futons Inc. announced today that an all new website, affordablefutons.com , is up and running on the world wide web.

In addition, the site features coupons, 360 degree tours of our store, an informative “all about futons” page, an you can even order on line!” according to Katie Reichard, owner of Affordable Futons. “Whether you are a student looking for a futon for your dormroom, or a family in search of an alternative to the traditional sofa-bed, the new site will help you research, see all of your options, and have it delivered to your home.”


Affordable Futons has been a family operated business since 1989. Started by Mark Richmond and Sue Brown, the Monroe street shop is now owned by Kevin and Katie Reichard. The staff includes nine diversified employees whose duties include customer service and manufacturing the mattresses in house.

Affordable Futons is known as having the best prices, products, and service. Customers include The Weisman Center, The Regent, Towers, and Henry Gilman apartments, as well as thousands of loyal Madison area residents.
